Dieter Schmitt was born in Miltenberg, Lower Franconia, in 1960. He studied business administration at Julius-Maximilians-University in Würzburg and took a degree in business economics (Diplom-Kaufmann). His career began in 1985 with Dr. Lipfert GmbH Steuerberatungsgesell-
schaft Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft (tax consulting and auditing firm, now: PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in Stuttgart. He was appointed as tax adviser in 1990 and as certified accountant in 1993. He began to work for our firm on a self-employed basis in 1993 and became a partner a year later.

He joined BSKP in 1994.
