Thomas Rotte was born in Stuttgart in 1968. He studied business administration at the public university of Stuttgart (Staatliche Hochschule Stuttgart). Furthermore, he studied English at Cambridge University and completed an MBA-programme a London Business School (LBS). In the years 1995 to 2005, Thomas Rotte worked in a managing position in the capital goods industry, especially in the field of conveyance. His area of responsibility included the global management of sales and service departments of major international corporate groups. Additionally, he supervised several M & A-transactions. His field of expertise is reorganisations and restructurings as well as temporary management.

He joined BSKP (management consultancy services) in 2006.
