Martin Volkmann was born in Dresden in 1978. After his apprenticeship at an insurance company he trained as insurance business management assistant and then went on to study law at Dresden University of Technology. During part of his legal traineeship, Lawyer Volkmann worked in the corporate legal department of R+V Versicherung AG in Wiesbaden. He was admitted to the bar in 2008. Currently he is attending a course to become a specialist in employment law.

He joined BSKP in 2008.
