Sylvia Klapschus was born in Berlin in 1975. She studied law at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-University in Frankfurt/Main. Subsequently, she completed her legal traineeship in Frankfurt/Main. In 2008 she was admitted to the bar.

She started her career as a self-employed lawyer and went on to work as a partner in the law firm Dr. von der Lippe Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. Early in 2011 she began to train as a specialist in commercial and corporate law.

She joined BSKP in 2009.
