Thomas Kierner was born in Sulzbach-Rosenberg in 1961. He studied business administration at Bayreuth University and law at Regensburg University. From 1993 to 1997 he was an executive employee of a municipal housing company in Dresden. His scope of responsibility included the assessment and development of the existing real property. In 1998 he was admitted to the bar and has been a specialist in construction and architects’ law (Fachanwalt für Bau- und Architektenrecht) since 2005.

Lawyer Kierner has been a consiliator/ arbitrator under the construction-related arbitration rules (SOBau) of the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwalt Verein e.V.). He gives lectures on a regular basis at the EIPOS (European Institute for Postgraduate Studies) in co-operation with Dresden University of Technology.

He joined BSKP in 2009.
