Kerstin Rhinow-Simon was born in Hamburg in 1962. She studied law at Hamburg University. In 1987 she joined the former Papy, Weissenborn, Papy law firm in Miami, Florida for a one-year work experience. In 1996 she was admitted to the bar. She became a specialist in family law (Fachanwältin für Familienrecht) in 2005 and a specialist in social law (Fachanwältin für Sozialrecht) one year later.

Lawyer Rhinow-Simon gives lectures at the Dresden Academy for Palliative Medicine and Hospice Care gGmbH.

She joined BSKP in 2003.
