Grit Serding was born in Schwedt/Oder in 1967. She studied economics at Berlin University. She became a tax specialist (Steuerfachwirtin) in 1995 and was appointed tax adviser by the Stuttgart Tax Advisers’ Association (Steuerberaterkammer Stuttgart) in the following year. Grit Serding has been active in tax consulting since 1991.

She joined BSKP in 2002.
