Manuela Sommer was born in Elbingerode in 1972. She enrolled at Magdeburg University to study business administration with a particular focus on tax and controlling. After her studies she was employed with small auditing and tax consulting firms as an assistant auditor. Having passed her tax adviser’s examination, she worked as regional office manager of a tax consulting firm for several years before she joined the Magdeburg office of Dr. Ott Audit Tax GmbH as a tax adviser in 2006.

She joined BSKP in 2009.
